Today we were thrilled to find out about the lovely reviews by Tracey at One Kind, she says:
"It has really helped me around my eyes. It has a beautiful scent of Jasmine and Rose, making you feel like you’re in the summer season all year long. I buy online, not sure where they are sold offline.
It lasts absolutely ages too, meaning I save a bit of money, instead of replacing low quality products every few weeks."
One Kind is an animal protecting charity aimed at reconnecting people and animals to create a better world for all. At Forest Secrets Skincare we share the same view, and that is why when we develop our products we use the minimum amount of palm oil derivatives (it is very difficult to avoid them in cosmetics). Palm tree plantations cause the destruction of orangutans environment in the South East of Asia and "sustainable" palm tree plantations are not the solution to the problem because they simply cause deforestation somewhere else, ie South America. According to Friends of the Earth 12% of palm oil production goes into the cosmetic industry, whereas most of the consumption is taken by the food and fuel industries. Therefore our conclusion is to use them only when we must, for example glycerine, which may be derived from coconut oil or palm oil.
